Navigating the VSDC UI is quite the task. And, for a tool that is free to use (or $19 if you want hardware acceleration, and the works), it’s more powerful than I had expected it to be. What may seem like an unfriendly UI on its face, is actually hiding quite a bit of power. Also, it doesn’t help that the main screen has dedicated equal (if not more) space to the “ Get to Know Top Features” section, as it has to “ Start Project Now” (which is what most people would be interested in).įor what it’s worth, although it may take you a couple of extra seconds to find the options you need to click on, once you get past that, the power of VSDC comes to the forefront. Which is what makes it rather awkward to look at. The free VSDC Video Editor is quite powerful though and includes “all the benefits of non-linear editing.” You’ll find features like picture-in-picture and split screen options as well as a comprehensive color correction suite.The application opens up in a window that looks dated, but with icons that clearly implement material design language.
